The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Habit 4 Think Win/Win
Win/Win agreements or solutions are mutually beneficial, mutually satisfying.
Five Dimensions of Win/Win-Character, Relationship, Agreements, Supportive Systems, and Processes
Habit 5 Seek First to Understand Then to be Understood
Character and communication most important skill in life
empathic listening-understanding and perception
Habit 6 Synergize
essence of synergy is to value differences to respect them, to build on strengths, to compensate for weakness.
Valuing the differences-valuing the differences is the essence of synergy-the mental, the emotional, the psychological differences between people. And the key to value those difference is to realize that all people see the world, not as it is, but as they are.
Habit 7
Renewal- Sharpen the Saw
Principles of Balanced Self-Renewal
personal PC (personal capability). It's preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have you. Its renewing the four dimensions of your nature-physical, spiritual, mental, and social/emotional.
Inside-Out Again
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of people, and then they take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature." Erza Taft Benson
Stephen R. Covey, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People"' has been an inspirational reading for me. The different paragraphs I quoted from Covey's book are the habits I am working on for myself.

Art/Photo Lecture-Bryd Williams/Elizabeth Mellot
Bryd Williams and Elizabeth Mellot lecture was great. It's interesting the way they are telling the story of Mary's life. I really like seeing his family's photographs of the architects and lifestyles in the 30's.

Taylor Anne's Photography
Taylor Anne did an excellent job presenting her photographs. She captured the personality of the individuals in each photographs.
Part One-Paradigms and Principles/ Part Two Private Victory
Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,- is a great book to read. "The inside-out approach says that private victories precede public victories, that making and keeping promises to ourselves precedes making and keeping promises to others. It says it is futile to put personality ahead of character, to try to improve relationships with others before improving ourselves." Covey's explained Habits 1, 2, 3; I was able to follow Habits 1&2, and Habit 3 was confusing to me. I need read Habit 3 again.

Marilyn Waligore, The im/materiality of every day
Marilyn Waligore was a great lecturer. Having the opportunity to be part of Art/Photo Lectures has been a great experience for me. The relationship of art and photography with the setup, lights, detail, focus, subjects are the same, except one is a longer than the other, but you produce that work giving the viewers the option to form their opinions and thoughts about the work. Marilyn Waligore used objects that were recycled to express every day materiality of the things we take for granted.
